Ocean Reef | Old Dogs Learn New Tricks!

For a Saturday afternoon in January, some of us instructors went down to the pool to try out the Ocean Reef Integrated Diving Mask.
Instructors Alvin Zhang, Jenny Goh, Michelle Richert, Raymond Tan and myself went and played around with these masks.
Just too bad that we couldn’t really try out the underwater communications set this time around.

But nonetheless, during the session we had great fun and we all got familiar with the Integrated Diving Mask (IDM) and did some skills. Like being in various positions while adjusting air flow, mask flooding and clearing and mask removal and replacement.

Trying to flood the full face mask was a lot more challenging than expected.

We felt a bit strange at first with the masks, since it was the first time that we could actually breathe through our nose while underwater! The whole experience was really exhilarating and interesting for all of us.
I think some of us got hooked to it and can’t wait to dive more with the Ocean Reef IDM!

The next step, take these masks to the ocean and dive!

Here are some photos of our play session… Enjoy!
